BioThe only daughter of the trickster god Loki, Hel has often felt abandonded by her father; However, Hel is stubborn and does not wish to realize that her Father does really love her. She is the youngest child of a family with six, only fully being realated to Fenrir and Jörmungandr; their Mother being Angerboda, a giantess. Out of the other Gods that she knows, she gets along well with Heimdall, one of her Father's enemies. They have a silent bond of understanding and enjoy spending their time in peace and quiet.
Hel was sent to the underworld by Odin and was left in the care of Hades. While in the underworld Hel was given the duty of sorting the souls that went there and which of the nine worlds they would go to. It's not a job that she is particulally fond of but she feels that it is a better job than some of the others Gods have.
On the right side of Hel's body is a dark scar that she hides, it is not visible in normal view due to a charm on her body. The mark runs down her back and her arm, stopping at mid waist. She is usually seen with long sleeves on her arms just in case the scar becomes visible.
While in the realm of mortals, Hel can usually be found in quiet, peaceful places. Most times she will be sitting down and reading a book, any type will do for her. The rooms that she dwells in are almost like libraries with books from other realms and countries scattered all over the place.
